Over the last past month or so, "The Hubs" and I have been working on furniture projects for an upcoming local show in May.

The hubs does most of the preping steps...all the sanding, reinforcing, filling, priming....you know, the boring stuff....but if there's one thing he does right...it's this. Always takes the time and care some of these "needy" pieces require for the best end product. I always sit and watch in amazment ...how patient he is...hmmm, think this is where "opposites attract" comes in...
okay, so I'm NEVER going to give him the "before" picture task....again....EVER.
I love how all the legs are chopped off ...and although extremely artistic...and vain.....I don't think everyone else will appreciate the car and self portiture images, Bubby.
great effort, though.I love you.

above: MY SIX LEGGED YARDSALE BEAUTY
...a little rough around the edges, but a great find...in fact, I fell in love
with her so deeply, that I've kept her in my livingroom.
Im pretty sure, forever.

Okay, so the rotating mirror...not too bad shape, but needed some reinforcing
and a definite new paint or stain job...
HOW ABOUT   B O T H.
yes.

I, ashlee.nicole, have also been busy creating some new Spring/Summer Goodies...
above: a fun floral print Flutterby decorative pillow...just one of several to come in different shaps and sizes ...all original...( one thing you might like to know about me....I HATE PATTERNS!...everything you see that I've made[ie. bags, pillows, decor etc.], I make original...which makes for great character and originality in my pieces...all one-of a kind)
above: a fun and whimsical butterfly block to accent it's 6 piece " Blossom" set.
above and below: some fun lemon and lime wooden bowls for the summer!
hand-painted and sealed with water base sealant.

below: our first "Furniture Rehab" project...this one I am so proud of...Gil and I
had so much fun creating this  set...keeping the integrity and character of the pieces and
enhancing them with whimsey and modern touches....this set is our beginning...
a start of a new journey.

Let's see where it takes us...
