A Wonderful Gift...

 It's National Secretary's Week....and being that my cuter-than-cute Mumzy is one, I thought

this a perfect opportunity to surprise her with some daughter and grand-daughter cheer.

 above: I made this block special just this morning for her...it says it all.

 meanwhile, Miss Margo-Adella decides to make "The Nana-pants" a beautiful

hand-picked flower arrangement from our home-grown garden...

 (why yes, Margo is wearing a pirate princess costume in the middle of April...you have toddlers? Nuf said...ya feel me?)

 Margo, I am so proud of you, Love! What an amazing job you did...The Nana will be sooo

thrilled and feel so special.

A New Style of Block Sets...

Trying a new style of block sets this go around...more of an artistic and fun approach. I had a blast with these...

 This set reads "Summer" in a brilliant sour yellow with stone-taupe base and roughed up and aged to perfection....hand-painted art work on the colorful special custom appliqued blooms in pinks,gold, burnt orange and summer aquas...just a real fun and funky piece.

 "Wish" Blocks....this one was my first go at something different as far as my normal

approach. So much fun with an extreme roughed up look and faux aging...but mostly, I HEART

 Everyone seems to love my reclaimed weathered wood signs...so I've made some more. I buy and snag old barn wood whenever I can.....especially the weather-aged broken pieces...so much character.

Over the last couple years I have been searching for that perfect location...."Just the Right Spot" for my hand-made goods. I believe I've found just that within "The Empty Nest"...

 Situated in one of the most charming areas I've experienced...downtown Oakdale.

 I don't think my pictures do this amazingly adorable shop justice...

You just have to go and experience it yourself! LOL....This shop is just jammed pack with wonderful goodies, gifts and décor!  

 Always has her ever changing store front windows  full of great finds and always decorated just so.

 This place is full of handpainted fun and unique furniture in great modern hues and tones.

 This place is Shabby Chic-alicious! (don't judge, It just sounded right...lol)
