I know I haven't updated "the blog" for a bit...been super busy like everyone this time of year...back to school....creating new inventory...seeking out new locations and ventures...For this post...

New Fun Humble Bungalow Creations...

A little look into my world...

 Well, folks....this is it...my space, my room...my area to do, create, paint...sew what ever

I please......A mess...of course it is! Someone once said..." no true artist's space is ever immaculate...a clean space equals an empty creative mind"

 I'm sure some artists have their own lofts...rented space...large workshops....I'm sure it's nice...but for now...this is perfect...my safe haven...it's cozy and corky...full of charm and inspiration all around.

 heres a little sneak peak of a completely new style of paintings I've totally been delving into...

it's a long drawn out process of stencil layering with fun tones and hues...a bohemian-hippie chic style if you will...

 Below: this has absolutely nothing to do with my lil' business LOL...but, it does involve a couple of my most favorite individuals in the whole world..my children..and my Dad!.

 "Papa-pants" gave Mayce and Miss Margo two itty bitty plants that he got at a plant sale a few months ago....I told them they were magic plants and we will just have to wait and see what they become....from itty bitty to completely flourishing with orange and yellow blooms...we now know what is in store for FALL!

 Mayce-man and Miss Margo Adella are stoked to see what becomes of these wee lil pumpkins

in the making...how big will they grow?

"Peace & Harmony"...it was the perfect phrase...thank's son!

Above" is a completely re-vamped yardsale find...I wish I would have taken pictures of "before"....total 90's oak frame with cow and sunflower pic to display. LOL. Those were the days...ahhh. A new coat of paint, matting...and original handpainted simplistic word art to finish....says it all  .... "Love" is all ya need. Definetly never a shortage in my world...

Pillows Galore!

 Kind of a dreary day....one of my favorite kinds...always puts me in

work mode....more like creative thearapy...

 Pillows...that's what was on the creative menu today.

 A fun trio...all different from one another....above: a modern approach

to what should be a wonderful juvenile addition to any nursery or playroom...great

for chap or lass...unisex if you will.

 ah...had a blast with this one...no creation can escape color on my watch...

it's hard for me to do mono-chromatic...I...Just...CAN't....lol

(oh ya, and p.s., I'm the worst spell checker if ya haven't noticed...pretty sure

that's not how you spell "mellon"...bwahaha)

Block set...

 truly was a blast to create....and one of my personal favs...if it doesn't sell in the shop this month...I may have to go take it back! lol.

Always a pleasure taking lute up to "The Empty Nest" Oakdale...perhaps another location in the future as well...but for now, I couldn't ask for anything more...I always have a blast making and creating things....it's a passion of mine...a disease if you will..I will never grow tired of it...and  so, this has been my choice of path....the greatest blessing.

Summer Begins...

 May...June and July are always full of events, birthdays and such for this family...sometimes my "The Humble Bungalow" gets put on hold, but at the same time...I am forever and constantly being inspired by the wonders of beginning of Summer...

 above: fun wooden garden stakes..."organic" and "tomatoes"

 ABOVE: is a salvage find...a thick wooden butterfly cut out....revamped and given the "rustic chic" treatment in Mint.

 This guy above I handpainted...with charming ladybugs and whimsical vines and butterfly...

eventually it will become a large garden stake.

My father (who is amazing by the way...wish I had half his knowledge of "know how") picked up this piece for me....which was once a ragety, old, beat up..."side of the road" project...lol. I took on the challenge with a smile....sanded...stainted....painted and given a roughed up shabby chic treatment....added a couple of wooden roped boxes with same treatment...for extra charm and storage. 

For being so busy with all that summer brings...I'd say I'm not doing so bad....
